And what did I learn?

I quit my training as a Crisis Call Center volunteer. The world, to me, is a very scary, very painful place. I have been through so much pain in my life-choosing to listen to it firsthand for 4 hours a week is just to much for me to handle. I had a listening shift yesterday, and I've been basically crying ever since.

So what did I learn? That sometimes strength is in knowing what you can and can't handle.

I totally understand. I don't think I could do it. But I still think it is great that you had the courage to try - most people don't.

Lots of love,

You learned to deal with one of your fears which is being around strangers. That makes it easier to deal with next time you have to do it.
And Bunny is right - at least you have the courage to try something that might be beyond your limitations. Hell, you're stronger than me in that respect.

Thank you both very much. And apparently I'm transparent-I received an email from the director saying she thought the classes were traumatizing me!

I'm glad to be back in my bubble.
