Rest In Peace

George Carlin passed away from heart failure. He was 71.

He made me laugh, a lot. The world is that much less funny without him.

Bye George. And thank you.

Click here for a site devoted to George, and have a laugh in his memory.

Yup, I'm in total agreement about George Carlin! PBS's Fresh Air program (Terry Gross, moderator--you've seen a few photos of her in Vanity Fair) ran a ......1974? Not sure what year, suffice to say an ages old Terry Gross/Carlin interview, done directly after the Supreme Court decided that George, nor you and I could not say shit, damn, "f-fiddlesticks," etc.

Evidently his mom was a big fan of words--fed him big words first crack out of the box--all those obscure words, i.e, Carlin turned into a word guy.

My kids were raised on him and the Smothers Brothers.

A friend of mine made a good point-he lived a happy life, went to the hospital, and died. No long drawn out illness for him. We should all be so lucky!
